today i visited The Einar Jónsson Museum as i'd planned since last week. very fortunately, yesterday at the swimming pool, i met a man who works at this museum. he said "there are two entrances, if you can't find me at the first entrance, visit second one". then, at the first entrance, a girl was there, not he was. i asked the way how to get to the second one. she explained the way to go, but my brain was not enough good to remember the directions! i asked her again to make sure the way.

but, she said to me "don't worry it's ok if you are lost for a few minuets, because this is a very beautiful museum" i… i liked that sentence very much....!!! as if it was a magical spell of beginning of a story or suddenly the doors opened or anyway like that. i was almost lost in magic....!!! i really really liked that.

the museum is … actually very special. i can't find words exactly how i was inspired from his works… haven't seen anything like them, huge, mythical sculptures. i'm sure i definitely need to go back there again.

i thought… or i was sure. i had been just waiting today to visit there.
i knew this museum since 2004 and i tried to visit there many times, but i couldn't make it somehow till today. even ASí art museum i exhibited in 2009 is located just around the next door, even i stayed at the guesthouse only 2mins walk to the museum last week. ..i didn't visit.

Obviously it was really nice i could get a perfect guide to show me around the museum from yesterday swimming pool :) and as i mentioned above rather dramatic words i was gifted from the girl. i am thankful for those happenings soooo much :)

his name is Þorbjörn Þorgeirsson. very icelandic name :)

and today. i talked with a man in a bath. he said his also doing photography and seems to loving swimming pools in iceland so much as well. i asked his favorite recommend pool and he gave me the special one in the Westfjords area... but the place name sounds toooo difficult for me to remember. even besides his name is very difficult to catch with my ears... mmm... in the icelandic swimming pools, i sometimes talked with someone (sometimes someone nicely talked to me :)but i don't have any pen and papers. brain memory is the only way to keep things. anyway, this time, i found he is working at the museum i was just planning to go on this weekend. whoa! this is very handy occasion! so i'll bring pen and papers and map to the museum to know his & pool's names.

i really think, all of those special happenings are... just so icelandic. soooo icelandic!! only happened in iceland for me so far.

"Swim & Steam" pictures by Damien Peyret were exhibited on the wall at the swimming pool in Kópavogur

one day, my friend and fellow David Baillot said to me.
"Obviously the mental connection was water+Reykjavik=Keiko but although these pictures step on one of your 'pet subjects' it's done with what I think is a pretty different approach, less about the elements and how they mix and more about the winding down of people, peaceful but as ethereal as your work."

i do agree with what david says. and i think i was already inspired/effected by Damien Peyret pictures.
that doesn't mean i take pictures like him, no. but i would learn the mind and will and spirit from his pictures and take them in me so that my way of shooting goes better to reach to the people more.
( i like the "Swim & Steam" polaroid pictures by Damien Peyret very much. very much. )

thank you my 27,82KG camera equipments got in me safe again! x

rain this morning. it was not serious rain.

my icelandic aunt Þuríður kindly took me to the post office in outside of the town....
i always think seriously, how can i tell this my huge appreciation to her... she is so generous.
actually not only her. icelandic people are so generous big heart.
they even offer what i wish in me (but i think its too much for asking, so i don't ask from me).
its like a magic! how do you know that? and how can you offer that to me??? its amazingly kind. are you sure???
i felt always like that.
i want to be like them one day, i should be.

Þuríður said 'oh its nothing!!' with reading news paper while she waited for me at the post office.
and i really thought, without her, i couldn't make it.
(or maybe i could make it, but it must be soooo difficult to find this place, and go back with this big box by taxi by myself...)
i am very fortunate to have such people around me.

my one of the boxes had a safe journey all the way from Japan:D the other one seems to be in trouble...

i sent 2 boxes from Japan to the address of Reykjavik Museum of Photography.
because i haven't know where i stay in July when i sent these boxes,
and i knew its surely better to sent to them since last time experience ;)
i was so happy to come back here after 2 years, and meet everyone here:)

and i visited a post office to ask about the other box.
they said i need to go to another post office tomorrow with all of my papers and passport....
